We offer several nematology research services, listed below. Requests for services are accommodated based on our current workloads, demands on field and greenhouse space, and other factors. Requests are considered on a first come, first serve basis. We reserve the right to decline any request.
Field and greenhouse data are provided in Excel spreadsheets, with simple summary values reported, if requested. We are not able to provide ARM files. No statistical analysis of data will be performed.

Field Testing
- Nematicide evaluations or crop variety testing
- Soil sampling of your field test plots (North Carolina locations only)
- Can typically accommodate testing in row crops (soybean, corn, cotton), sweetpotato, and some vegetables
- Typical data include total yield, marketable yield, nematode damage (RKN galling incidence and severity), soil nematode counts

Greenhouse Screening
- Nematode resistance evaluations or nematicide testing
- Can accommodate testing with several species and races of root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp.) and soybean cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines race 2)
- Typical data include root damage (such as RKN galling), egg counts, nematode reproduction factors, shoot and root biomass

Nematode Inoculum for Sale
- Several species and races of root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp.)
- Soybean cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines race 2)
- Tobacco cyst nematode (Globodera tabacum)
- Inoculum is provided as eggs (we will quantify concentration for you prior to shipment)
- Must be able to receive overnighted or next day FedEx shipments
- Must contact our lab a minimum of 3 months before desired shipment date
- Must have the appropriate APHIS permit for the desired nematode (no exceptions)
